NZHistory.net.nz aims to be your first port of call when you voyage the World Wide Web in search of information on New Zealand history.
The site contains major features on many aspects of New Zealand history with sections on Cultureand Society, War and Society and Politics and Government (including the Treaty of Waitangi) and a section called The Classroom for social studies and New Zealand history teachers.
It also contains hundreds of annotated links, an oral history guide and a calendar of events for every day in New Zealand history
Content of NZHistory.net.nz is co-ordinated by a small team from the History Group of the Ministry.
The site was launched on 16 March 1999 and had a major revamp in 2007.
