Broadcasting Programme of Action Project
The Government's vision for the future of public broadcasting in New Zealand is outlined in the report Building a Strong and Sustainable Public Broadcasting Environment for New Zealand, released in February 2005. This document sets the scene for the development of a new programme of broadcasting work for the next six years.
Key areas of work currently being worked on for the Programme include: a new policy framework for regional and community broadcasting, the Radio New Zealand charter review and the question of its future institutional form, and digital broadcasting.
